 Delegates are kindly requested to register during the opening hours. The registration for the Congress will start on Sunday, 6th  August 2006 at 4 p.m. The opening hours will be specified after registration.

 The registration fee includes admission to all congress sessions, workshop, congress documentation (programme and book of abstracts), coffee breaks and the Welcome Party. For student registration fee university confirmation is required at the registration.

 Social programme

 Accommodation
 The Congress organizers offer to book accommodation in four hotels ranging from one to four stars. All these hotels have good access to the place of the venue and shuttle transportation from these hotels to the Congress venue and back will be provided.
 The accommodation fee should be paid before
 1st May1st June 2006.After this date the Congress organizers cannot ensure, that your reservation will be confirmed.

 Paper call
 All participants are invited to present their latest scientific results and experiences at the 6th International Congress of Deer Biology. Participants wishing to give an oral presentation or to present a poster should submit an abstract written in English by
 April 30thMay 31st, 2006. The scientific steering committee and the chairperson of each topic will review the submitted abstracts. The decision on acceptance or rejection of a manuscript and the final form of presentation will be based on the Scientific Steering Committee’s evaluation. Authors will receive notification of acceptance and mode of presentation by June 30th, 2006.

 Only for those who wish to publish extended abstract in the Proceedings.
 The paper should not be longer than 4 pages including simple graphics and citations, the paper can be written in the following text processors: MS Word [template], WordPerfect [template] and OpenOffice [template] (page format A4, margins top 25mm, bottom 25 mm, left 25 mm and right 25 mm; font size 12 Time New Roman). Do not make any type formatting in the text please!

 Participants wishing to publish their complete paper(s) after the conference are asked to submit their manuscript(s) to the European Journal of Wildlife Research (www.springeronline.com).
 
 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
 
 Entry formalities
 EU nationals do not require a visa to enter the Czech Republic. In general, all other foreigners require a visa for stays in Czech Republic. A visa is not required for up to two visits of up to three months in a year by nationals of those countries for which the EU has abolished the visa requirement. For further information, please contact your nearest Czech Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible. It may take some time to get a visa issued.  Arrival
 The public transport to the Czech Agriculture University is by bus lines n. 107 or 147 from the “metro” (i.e., underground/subway) station “Dejvická” on line A to the station “Zemědělská univerzita”. The easiest way to get there from the airport is by bus n. 119 to the final station (Dejvická) and there change to bus lines n. 107 or 147. Between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. the buses leave from the airport building every 7 or 10 min. (a single ticket costs 20CZK and it is valid for 75 minutes). Ticket machines are located on stations and by the tracks.

 The Czech Crown (CZK) is the exclusive official Czech currency. However, it is possible to use the Euro (€) for payment of conference fees including registration, accommodation, and excursions. Presently 1€ equals CZK 28.930. For an update go to daily exchange rates.

 Invitation letter
 Participants requiring an invitation letter to attend the Congress should contact idbc@af.czu.cz and send a copy of their passport. A letter of invitation is only intended to assist participants to obtain a visa or grants in order to attend the Congress. It does not constitute any commitment on the part of the organisers to provide financial support or to cover fees or Congress expenses.
 
 Insurance
 Please note that the organizers provide no type of insurance for the participants. Participants of the Congress are recommended to arrange their individual insurance in case of sickness or injury. The organizers of the Congress as well as the hotel owners or institutions visited are not responsible for any medical problems or any personal loss, and will not refund any expenses connected with such events.
